Arthur W Politano

Arthur W. Politano, of Shohola, PA, formerly of Inwood, NY, passed away on Thursday May 18, 2017 from pancreatic cancer. Art's family was with him as his spirit and soul left his physical body and transitioned into a much more important role that is beyond our understanding. Art was born in Far Rockaway, and lived in Inwood most of his life. He eventually found a new place to call home in Shohola, Pennsylvania, where he happily resided in the middle of nature. Here, Artie developed many friendships, that in actuality were mini families. Our family is glad Art had a great relationship with the fine folks he saw every day. Art has met many people in his life, and made a lot of friends. Art will be deeply missed by so many people in so many different ways. He will never be forgotten. Art is survived by his mother June Politano, sister June Politano, and brother Donald Politano. He is also survived by the large Politano and Stanley family of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Art is now in the company of his late grandparents Leif and Florence; Elsie and Donald (Hoover), Nanny Kay, as well as all members of our family. Art's visitation will be on Monday, May 22, 2017 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at Meserole Funeral Home, 143 Lord Avenue, Inwood, NY. A final gathering will take place on Tuesday May 23, 2017 from 10-11am. A religious service will be held at the funeral home at 11am. Burial will follow at Greenfield Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to any legitimate children's cancer research or animal charity of your choice.
