Genevieve Lanzilotta

Genevieve "Chickie" Lanzilotta, (nee Trotta). March 02, 1931 - April 1, 2018 Incredible mother to John (Barbara) Lanzilotta and Elizabeth Surita. Wonderful Grandmother to Gina and Keri Surita and Tom and Bobby Lanzilotta. Cherished "Aunt Chickie" to dozens of nieces and nephews. She loved and was loved by her many lifelong friends. Survived by her brother, Frank "Bucky" Trotta. Predeceased by her husband Thomas, parents Carmen and Nellie Trotta, brothers Lewis and Carmen Trotta, and sister Louise Maietta. Everyone was always welcome in Chickie's kitchen for a hot cup of coffee, a sympathetic ear, a bite to eat, and a warm and caring reception. Born and raised in Inwood she never moved far from home spending all of her adult life in the house her husband built in Lawrence. She loved the outdoors and made frequent visits to her beloved "upstate". There she was able to experience some of the memories of her youth surrounded by fresh air and horses. She will now get to spend her eternity with the only man she ever loved.
