John Peter Hendrickson

Hendrickson - John P. of Cedarhurst died unexpectedly on February 1, 2021 at the age of 74. John is survived by his beloved wife Anne and his precious daughter Joanne. John was born July 10, 1946 in Pennsylvania to Frank and Mathilda, and grew up in Cedarhurst. He received his accounting degree from the University of Wyoming. John worked at and retired from Chevron after quite a career which brought him around the world, living on 3 different continents, and working on projects across Europe, Africa, and South America. After retiring, John enjoyed spending time with his family - whether it was sitting outside enjoying nice weather, watching an Islanders hockey game, or doing home remodeling, as long as his wife and daughter were there, he was happy. John was an extraordinary and gentle man, the first to help out anyone who ever needed it, and was full of life, trust, and kindness. He had the ability to make everyone smile. John was preceded in death by his father Frank, mother Mathilda, brother Frank, and sisters Connie and Emma. He is survived by his wife Anne, daughter Joanne, and countless family members and friends around the world. There will be a memorial service and celebration of his life in New York the summer, and a private service in Wyoming.
